Centre for Justice resolves long-running dispute in four weeks

Centre for Justice recently resolved a case involving an inheritance tax insurance policy in less than four weeks.

Proceedings had already been issued but all parties agreed to use the Centre and the claim was automatically stayed. One of the Centre’s panel of assessors was appointed and meetings were quickly arranged with the assessor dealing directly with the parties.

A mediated settlement was reached in less than 4 weeks from appointment of the assessor – in contrast to the six months the dispute had already been running. Without the need to instruct their own lawyers under the Centre’s process, the parties came away paying total costs of less than a thousand pounds each - a small fraction of what it would have cost to take the case to court or even to traditional mediation.

All parties said they were very happy with the outcome. Comments included:

“We found every aspect of the service to be excellent. The dispute was resolved quickly for very little cost. We would certainly use Centre for Justice again and would highly recommend the service to others.”

“We would encourage anybody to consider the Centre for Justice as the first option for resolving a dispute.  Cost, ease of use and overall experience were excellent.”

“We found the Centre for Justice service quick, efficient and inexpensive. It makes the traditional legal process look overpriced and cumbersome. We particularly like the way the process considers all aspects of a dispute, not just the legal technicalities.”
